HOWDY!
On behalf of the NETC Aggie Moms' Club, welcome to the new 2024-25 year. If you have a Class of ‘28 Fish, a current Aggie, or even a Former Student, we invite you to join us and look forward to meeting you. Our meetings are usually the 2nd Tuesday of each month; in the spring we have some special events, so make sure to check our calendar for these dates. We start each meeting with a little food and fellowship, an Aggie Tradition is shared, and end with a featured speaker who will remind you why you are proud to be the Mother of an Aggie.
Benefits of becoming a club member are:
- Scholarships: We take great pride in our ability to raise funds for scholarships for Aggie students to lessen their financial burdens.
- Goody Bags: One of our most popular programs are fall and spring goody bags delivered to our students by our own Aggie Moms.
- Traditions: Learn about many of our beloved Aggie traditions to increase Aggie spirit. “From the outside looking in, you can’t understand it. From the inside looking out, you can’t explain it.” Fear not, we are here for you to both explain and help you understand.
- Parent Support: Moms’ Club meetings are a nurturing place to share the successes and struggles of a child’s college career with others who have had the same experiences.
- Industry Experts: Speakers at our monthly meeting are commonly industry experts from across Texas A&M University and you will have firsthand access to information.
- Financial Support: Over 1000 Student Organizations receive financial support each year from Aggie Moms’ Clubs.
- Social/Networking Activities: A sampling of our activities include monthly meetings, Ring of Honor lunches (for Moms of former Students), Mom’s weekend, dinners, craft times…and more.
- Mentor Support: New this year! Seasoned Moms mentoring incoming Moms of all the various groups/majors: Corps of Cadets, Engineering, Blinn Team, Mays Business, just to name a few.
In my family I am the very first Aggie. My husband is Class of ’94, a 2nd generation Aggie, and comes from a family full of Former Students. I am Mom to one Aggie ’26, and admittedly currently “encouraging” my youngest to also take the road to Aggieland. Having lived throughout the US, I can say first hand that the Aggie Network connection is real. I am thankful to be back in Texas and am both honored and excited to serve as your 2024-25 NETC Aggie Moms' Club President.
Texas A&M has a culture like no other and the NETC Aggie Moms' Club is a very special community. I encourage you to join us so that you can come experience its uniqueness and be a part of our welcoming comradery.
Gig ‘Em!
