Our featured speaker this month is Angela Winkler ’95, Assistant Director in Student Life at Texas A&M. Ms. Winkler has worked at TAMU for 24 years. The Division of Student Affairs has many divisions including Student Assistance Services, which Angela directs. SAS provides support to students based on their unique situation and needs. They help students with issues including food insecurity, mental health support, death of a loved one, withdrawing and readmission, accident/injury/medical concerns, funding assistance, and other stressful situations. They also work with some special populations – foster care alumni, pregnant and parenting students, and families of current students who pass away.
